Please read carefully.  Studio Provisions will not be held liable for damaged items due to incorrect handling, transportation and storage once the purchase has been handed over to the customer or other persons authorized by the customer.

Cakes

Our cakes are best enjoyed just below room temperature the day of pick-up or delivery, but will keep well for up to 5 days with proper care.  If using a cake stand, ensure it is sturdy enough for cutting pressure and at least 1" wider than the bake base.

Handling & Transportation

Carry your cakes carefully. Pick up and carry cake boxes from the bottom only, and keep level and upright in an air conditioned unit during storage and transport (on the floor of the car or trunk is best), away from loose objects.  Avoid bumpy roads and use a non-slip grip to prevent unnecessary sliding. Do not stack cakes. Long journeys can soften icings, so avoid leaving cakes unrefrigerated for more than 30 minutes (15 minutes if in warm weather).

Storage

Store cakes on a level surface, refrigerated in the box as soon as possible.  Allow to come to room temperature approximately 30-60 minutes before serving, and no longer than 4 hours during display.  Keep away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat when displayed.

Cakes with sugar decorations should be refrigerated no longer than 2 hours as the sugar décor will start to melt and collapse in cold, damp conditions.

Shelf-Life

Store leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container, or with plastic wrap directly in contact with the cut surface.  Keeps for up to 5 days from delivery with proper care and storage.

Cupcakes

Cupcakes are best served the day of pick-up or delivery at room temperature.

Handling & Transportation

Pick up and carry cupcake boxes from the bottom edges only, and keep level in an air conditioned unit during storage and transport (on the floor of the car or trunk is best), away from loose objects.  Avoid bumpy roads and use a non-slip grip to prevent unnecessary sliding. Long journeys can soften icings, so avoid leaving cupcakes unrefrigerated for more than 30 minutes (15 minutes if in warm weather).

Storage

Refrigeration may dry out the cake, but if you choose to do so, preserve freshness by transferring cupcakes to an airtight container or by plastic wrapping the bakery box for up to 3 days.  Allow to come to room temperature approximately 20-30 minutes before serving. Keep away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat when displayed.

Cupcakes with sugar decorations should be refrigerated no longer than 2 hours as the sugar décor will start to melt and collapse in cold, damp conditions.

Shelf-Life

Cupcakes can keep stored the same way on your counter at room temperature, out of direct heat, moisture or sunlight for up to 24 hours from pick-up or delivery.

Snack Cakes

Snack Cakes keep fresh for up to 3 days after pick-up/delivery.  Ensure the lid is closed tightly before storing in the fridge.  Allow to come to room temperature 30 minutes before enjoying.  Snack cakes also freeze well for up to 1 month.  Thaw in the fridge overnight the day before you plan to serve it.

Cake Pops

Cake pops keep fresh at room temperature for up to 24 hours from pick-up/delivery.  Keep away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat when displayed.

If storing in the fridge for future consumption, plastic wrap each pop and allow to come to room temperature 30 minutes before enjoying, with wrap on to avoid chocolate from sweating.

Sugar Cookies

Decorated sugar cookies are best enjoyed the same day of pick-up or delivery, kept at room temperature, but will stay fresh for up to 1-2 weeks if stored properly.  Keep away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat when displayed.

To preserve freshness, do not unwrap prepackaged cookies until ready to display or serve.  Store leftovers in an airtight container.  Do not stack more than 2-3 cookies high, depending on intricacy of design, and use parchment paper in between to avoid damaging delicate sugar work.

Bakery-Style Cookies

Our cookies are best enjoyed the day of pick-up/delivery at room temperature, but keep well for up to 3 days if properly cared for.  To preserve freshness, plastic wrap the bakery box or transfer your cookies to an airtight container and store at room temperature away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight.

Macaron

Macaron taste best slightly chilled or at room temperature. Fillings should be soft and creamy, and the shells delicately crisp and chewy.  Macaron keep well for up to 4 days in the fridge as long as the bakery box is plastic wrapped or they are transferred to an airtight container.  Allow to come to temperature 30 minutes before enjoying.  Keep away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat when displayed.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Chocolate covered strawberries are best enjoyed on the day of pick-up/delivery.  Refrigeration is not recommended as this will cause the strawberries to ‘sweat’ and separate from the chocolate coating.  Keep away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat when displayed.

Non-Edible Decorations

Your order may include non-edible components or decoration, such as figurines, dowels, floral wire, or cocktail sticks.  Please ensure that these are all removed before cutting and serving your cakes.

Allergies

We openly handle multiple allergens on premises.  Though we may accommodate dietary and allergy restrictions in our kitchen, please note we are not a nut, gluten and dairy free facility.  We do our best to keep ingredients separate, but we do use shared equipment to store and prepare all our baked goods.
